
Calvin Davenger, Philadelphia Deputy Director of Aviation and Christina Kobland, whose company Native Return won second place in Philly Green Innovator Contest
Native Return, nominated by the Philadelphia Division of Aviation for its innovation JetTurf, took second place in the Philly Green Innovator Award Contest sponsored by the Clean Air Council and SCA. JetTurf is an airfield patent pending, live turfgrass technology virtually eliminating mowing and reducing wildlife dangerous to airports. Its use cuts greenhouse gas emissions due to mowing by 95%.
Congratulations to first place winner Chariots of Philly. Third place went to Philly Cowshare.
The award is given by the Clean Air Council and SCA to the organization that won the most votes at Greenfest Philly out of 8 businesses and organizations that exemplify new and creative products, services, or ideas that promote sustainability.
