Open Lands Protection Ordinance a Sham? …wonders community gardener

Per community gardener and architect Colin Dawson,

“Parks and Recreation has advised the Natural Lands Trust (NLT)that the city intends to proceed with the taking of the Manatawna Farm hayfield from use by WB Saul School as a sustainable hay field/meadow wildlife habitat, for use as intensive agriculture, “as a right” without regard for the proposed land use ordinance or the proposed Roxborough Conservation District. The presentation of the land use ordinance titled “Open Lands Protection Ordinance” would appear to be a sham. Parks and Recreation has advised NLT that work will commence on the hay field this May.”
